If I'm wrong and these switches truly do use wi-fi to communicate, I'm going to be pissed and agree with your comment that it's glitchy and definitely not what I wanted. A RF repeater distributes the signal to the whole house and the S232 network controller (see the white and red boxes in my picture) provide network and Control4 connectivity. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding of the adorne smart switch system is that the switches/devices communicate via RF at 900 MHz. Their prices were about 25%+ less than retail. If anyone is contemplating a similar purchase, I highly recommend finding a good lighting/electrical supplier. If anyone has any experience with the adorne collection or Control 4 positive or negative, I'd be grateful to receive it.
